| Streszczenie: | The purpose of this article is an attempt to present practical dimensions of participatory democracy and civil dialogue by engaging in activities that young people not only allow to meet the specific needs of this social category, but also allow to shape social attitudes and prepare to fulfill the roles of citizens in adulthood. One of the practical implementation of the concept of participatory, is participatory budgeting. Positive effects of engagement and cooperation that people experience when they are young, can result in them being more open toward similar forms of involvement in adulthood, they also gain knowledge about the mechanisms of political decision-making, etc. Also, local community organisation can be a great method of activation and civil education of the youth as well as a way to improve conditions of its functioning. Engaged in the whole process of designing, preparing and implementing projects of such type, young people not only have the opportunity to influence actions taken to their benefit but also gain knowledge and experience in cooperation at the local level. |
