Özet:This article reinterprets Jean Baudrillard’s thought via an analysis of 9/11 in order to shed light on contemporary politics. It aims to explore the dialectical coexistence of two opposing logics: simulation (a world of de-realized experiences) and symbolic exchange (an irruption of singularity that subverts order). The analysis focuses on three events (the Twin Towers, the destruction of artifacts by ISIS, and the Charlie Hebdo newsroom) as force fields where technology and the brutalism of terrorism converge. The article argues that this dynamic is key to interpreting the spectacularization of politics, demonstrating that it does not signify a loss of reality but represents a critical moment in which symbols and technology unite to redefine our perception of the world.
