Resumo:This article summarizes the definitions and principles that Gilbert Durand used to create a classification of archetypes, based on the typologies proposed by various human sciences. This modeling of archetypes is presented here in a series of tables that highlight the step-by-step link between schemas, symbols, and archetypes. This contribution explains the large summary table of the “Isotopic Classification of Images” as well as the potential contributions of this archetypology to the understanding of ancient and contemporary myths. Finally, a number of questions are raised by this attempt at synthesis, in particular the role played by archetypes in the construction of collective representations.
