Résumé:Young Korean men increasingly form temporary and unstable romantic relationships due to the socio-economic pressures and traditional norms in Korea that discourage long-term commitments. This is particularly the case when some of them get involved with Thai bar girls. These relationships, often facilitated by translation apps and social media, are characterized by their nomadic nature, focusing on the present rather than a future together. Despite the legal risks of engaging in prostitution, the allure of these non-committal relationships persists, highlighting issues within Korean society regarding perceptions and expectations of love and marriage.
