My artistic projects, informed by theoretical considerations, have led me to question the gendered gaze and to envision a more general disidentification through desexing, processes of identity abstractions, and demultiplications. The utopian and paradoxical project of self-determination also lies at the heart of my research. I thus commend the perpetual and virtuous failure of any attempt at reaching a state of transition, however necessary it may be.Dans cette intervention, il s’agit de partir de ma pratique photographique et performative pour questionner la possibilité du dégenrage, projet politique au cœur de mes dynamiques transidentitaires et à la croisée des représentations. Ouvrant un dialogue entre projets artistiques et considérations théoriques, je pars de l’étude critique du regard genré pour me diriger vers la volonté d’une désidentification plus générale, notamment à travers les outils que sont le désexage, les opérations d’abstraction identitaire ou encore de démultiplication. En outre, c’est le projet utopique et paradoxal de l’auto-indétermination qui est ici au cœur de mes réflexions, faisant dès lors l’éloge de la tentative perpétuelle, de l’échec vertueux et de la nécessité d’un état de transition.Cairn restricted access |
