Yhteenveto:Why was Gilles Deleuze so interested in Nietzsche’s eternal return, both in its cosmological and physical aspects, and in its ethical and selective aspects? And why, when paying attention to it, did he constantly compare it to the ancient conception of the eternal return, and in particular to the Platonic conception of the Great Year? We show how, for Deleuze, Plato paved the way for the overturning of Platonism Nietzsche called for, and how important this overturning is with respect to the problem of eternal return: because our salvation is at stake here, and is perhaps the ultimate horizon of Deleuzian philosophy, indeed of all philosophy.
