Özet:Interweaving the analysis of the main character of Stanley Kubrick’s film A.I. with the examples of mythology and with clinical experience, we would like to explore the psychic representation of the robot-child. The robot-child is built to appear eternally young as “puer aeternus”, and at the same time is endowed with vast access to human knowledge, associating it with “senex aeternus”. In addition to these features, the robot-child is a being who is not born, who is created with a definite purpose. Its relationship with its human adoptive parents could give rise to potentialization of the different archetypes in these parents, and projections of humans onto robots. The archetypal image of the robot-child is unclear. Its place in the collective unconscious is uncertain. This article aims to study the human contact with a robot-child, and, above all, to start a debate with future robot-child builders, based on the postulates of analytical psychology.
