However, the study of contemporary Israeli and Palestinian literature requires a reterritorialization of the biblical corpus, insofar as these literatures make use of the biblical corpus in close connection with the status of the Bible in the state of Israel, and according to reading methods drawn from Jewish exegesis, especially from midrash. This is what this article aims to show, while also examining the conditions for understanding this reterritorialization of the Bible when reading Israeli and Palestinian literature in French translation.La Bible s’est imposée comme une des sources majeures de la littérature européenne, au point qu’on en oublierait presque qu’elle émane de lieux proche-orientaux, et par là-même extra-européens. Or l’étude de la littérature israélienne et palestinienne contemporaine impose une reterritorialisation du corpus biblique, dans la mesure où ces littératures font un usage du corpus biblique en lien étroit avec le statut de la Bible dans l’État d’Israël, et selon des méthodes de lecture tirées de l’exégèse juive et en particulier du midrash. C’est ce que cet article vise à donner à voir, en s’interrogeant en outre sur les conditions de compréhension de cette reterritorialisation de la Bible quand on lit les littératures israélienne et palestinienne en traduction française.Cairn restricted access |
