Based on a number of literary and paratextual (critical and academic) discourses, this article presents various ways in which this biographical fact has been treated: while its integration has been subject to oscillations in Russian literary history, from an exogenous point of view it has paradoxically confirmed the poet’s Russian identity, making visible the process of Slavic racialization. As for Pushkin, in a move beyond caricatured polarity, this dreamed-of forefather would have taken his place in his personal myth, combining exoticism and autochthony.L’étude du cas de Pouchkine, poète national aux lointaines racines africaines, illustre la place singulière de la littérature russe au xixe siècle, envisagée comme à la fois européenne et extra-européenne. Cet article, prenant appui sur un certain nombre de discours littéraires ou paratextuels (critiques et académiques), présente diverses modalités du traitement de cette donnée biographique : si son intégration a été sujette à oscillations dans l’histoire littéraire russe, elle a pu, d’un point de vue exogène, venir paradoxalement confirmer l’identité exemplairement russe du poète, rendant visible le processus de racialisation des Slaves. Quant à Pouchkine, cet aïeul rêvé lui aurait permis, dans un dépassement d’une polarité caricaturale, d’inventer un mythe personnel, combinant exotisme et autochtonie.Cairn restricted access
