Streszczenie:The need to channel huge amounts of savings into meeting environmental, health, and social challenges, and ongoing regulatory changes, such as the CSRD, are challenges that make it imperative to rethink the way we invest, finance projects and innovations, and reorganize the financial world. Finance can make a lasting contribution to the common good only if we succeed in introducing ethics into both theory and practice. This article sets out to share some thoughts on the link between ethics and sustainable finance in general, by looking at sustainability from the angle of “conditions for the health of living beings in the broadest sense”, with the example of the relationship between the One Health approach and sustainable finance. This connection requires and calls for a truly active commitment on the part of the financial world. It represents a profound transformation in the way we think about financing and investment, and finance in general. To this end, ethics can truly become the cornerstone of sustainable finance, by being an integral part of all projects and investments.
