| Izvleček: | Since the creation of the Mid-caps category in 2008, France’s economic policy has become more attuned to its business structure in all its various forms (VSEs, SMEs, Mid-caps, large businesses). The increase in the number of Mid-caps over the past sixteen years is proof of this. However, European institutions have yet to take account of the production sector as a whole. The powerful legislative measures introduced under the ʺGreen Dealʺ, if they fail to divert the Mid-caps category, risk undermining their competitiveness and, through a crowding-out effect, putting them on the sidelines of financing and growth markets. The imperative of proportionality must apply to sustainability standards. |
