This question is crucial in the context of public support for reindustrialization. To explore this issue, we use an analytical framework that combines entrepreneurial and territorial determinants of entrepreneurial projects, which we have tested on two seemingly similar cases (the organic agri-food sector in rural areas). By intersecting entrepreneurial approaches and regional science, this article proposes to analyze the conditions for project success through a comprehensive approach that begins with the project itself while closely examining its relationship with the territory throughout its development process. We thus show how entrepreneurship develops not only by relying on the entrepreneur’s advantageous characteristics and entrepreneurial ecosystem but also on the dynamics and resources of the territory in which it is located. This cross-analysis enriches current entrepreneurial research and confirms both the territorial specificities and the impossibility of generalizing the assets of certain areas (e.g., rural ones) in the current reindustrialization process.Certains projets entrepreneuriaux réussissent localement tandis que d'autres échouent, sans différences apparentes. Cette interrogation est indispensable dans un contexte de soutien public à la réindustrialisation. Pour avancer ce questionnement, nous mobilisons une grille analytique combinant déterminants entrepreneuriaux et territoriaux des projets entrepreneuriaux, que nous avons testés sur deux cas a priori similaires (secteur agro-alimentaire bio en territoire rural). Croisant approches entrepreneuriales et sciences régionales, cet article propose d’analyser les conditions de réussite des projets selon une approche compréhensive partant du projet tout en étudiant précisément son lien au territoire tout au long de son processus de développement. Nous montrons ainsi comment l’entrepreneuriat se développe en s’appuyant non seulement sur les caractéristiques avantageuses de l’entrepreneur et son écosystème entrepreneurial mais également sur la dynamique et les ressources de son territoire d’implantation. Cette lecture croisée est le moyen d’enrichir les travaux entrepreneuriaux actuels et de confirmer les spécificités territoriales et l’impossibilité de généraliser les atouts de certains territoires (i.e. le rural) dans la réindustrialisation actuelle.Cairn restricted access |
