Gaia:The future of the Paris - Val d’Europe tourism cluster : a matter of economic intelligence The Val d’Europe territory is unique in the French landscape and, despite the establishment of a cluster, seems to have reached the point where it is no longer able to capitalize on its singularity, probably due to the lack of economic intelligence policy. In the first part, we study the link between economic intelligence and tourism. The territory with tourist vocation constitutes a relevant object for territorial intelligence and a framework favorable to the networking of the actors of a territory. In the second part, we deal with the case of the tourism cluster that it is relevant to study and analyze in the framework of an inductive research-action approach. The cluster has worked a lot on the collective management of the destination of the Val d’Europe, upstream of the tourist offer, by giving rise to several actions linked to the analysis and understanding of the territory in a descriptive and prospective perspective. This system seems to no longer make sense nor community for its members due to the lack of implementation of an economic intelligence approach.
