সংক্ষিপ্ত:The question of whether or not Mein Kampf owes something to Nietzsche is problematic for two reasons. With regards to Hitler, how can we determine what he might have read and understood of the deceivingly accessible-seeming philosopher ?With regards to Nietzsche, there are not one, but two risks. While it is difficult to absolve him of all intellectual responsibility, it is impossible to view him as someone who inspired the criminality that haunts Mein Kampf. We suggest that we do not silence the “horrors” found in Nietzsche’s works. Rather, we suggest seeing in them that which the philosopher thought it best to borrow from the proponents of selection, slavery and eugenics of his time. It is as though his nostalgia for an imagined aristocracy and his penchant for an aesthetic of darkness required him to be “anti” in every way : anti-modern, anti-humanist, anti-universalist, anti-Judaic, anti-Christian and anti-philosopher as well.
