Description
Résumé:The revue internationale des sociétés secrètes ( RISS, international review of secret societies) and the anti-Jewish and anti-freemasonry league: a network for those who played a major role in militant anti-Semitism in france under nazi occupationThe Revue internationale des Sociétés secrètes (1912-1939) was known as one of the first French magazines to have reproduced and published the Protocols of the Elders of Zion. Its purpose was not only limited to the diffusion of this infamous Russian anti-Jewish forgery, but is also played a major role in transmitting and perpetuating anti-Jewish, anti-Freemasonry and anti-occultist ideas and theories from the period of the Belle Époque to the Second World War.As an active center of formulation and militant social gathering, the RISS makes one question the way in which such pre-war anti-Jewish and anti-Freemasonry networks were re-deployed in France during the Nazi occupation, and their role in using propaganda and persecution against these groups.
