| Résumé: | In a small study of the German military archives and the correspondences of the superior officers, Édouard Husson shows evidence of a genocide mentality that was effective in Poland in the first weeks of the war. Refuting the common idea that the genocide did not truly begin in June 1941, he demonstrates how the Polish campaign and the exactions of the Einsatzgruppen (having already swept Bohemia and Moravia by the end of 1938) prepared the general barbaric terrain of the war with the USSR and the genocide of the Jews. |
