Description
Résumé:This contribution is a study of the actual genesis of the use of gas lorries as a means of achieving mass extermination, the prime aim of which was to provide protection for the assassins from the psychological repercussions of the carnage by enabling them to dispense with shooting as a means of annihilation. The idea of suffocating human beings to death is very closely linked to the T4 programme, a truly intellectual and practical laboratory for the development of the Shoah. It was ‘from this enacted biocracy, the very essence of the III Reich itself, that the SS technicians were able to implement the use of gas lorries by inviting support from the German civilian companies Diamond and Opel-Blitz'.
