Shrnutí:The French revolutionary song, from its inception, is hardly estimated by the subjects of his Majesty, put off by its violent lyrics. The Marseillaise, after the disappearance of Napoleon the 1st, becomes a favorite of the labor movement and republican organizations. Time passing, with the signing of the entente cordiale agreement in 1904 and furthermore during the two world wars, the Marseillaise embodies patriotism and freedom. It is, under difficult circumstances faced in common, the display of Anglo-Saxon countries’ solidarity with the French people. Finally, our feelings-dominated time makes a large use of its rousing rhythm and dazzling melody which express as well enthusiasm during sporting events as pain and resilience after tragedies bound to terrorism, mass accidents or armed conflicts.
