Resumo:Contrary to German propaganda, the army that attacked the Soviet Union in June 1941 was poor, constituted for intense, short term conflicts within the controlled conditions of western European theatres. Faced with rigorous weather conditions and the immensity of the Soviet territory, the Wehrmacht was immediately confronted with a phenomenon of de-modernization that would upend its structures and equipment.
