| סיכום: | This article explores how racial minorization constitutes a vector of continuous political socialization, which shapes the political universe of individuals as their experiences unfold. Based on the case of university graduates of sub-Saharan heritage, it shows firstly that this socialization is based on a two-dimension family heritage: the transmission of a parental support for left-wing orientation, based mainly on their immigrant status, and the injunction to work harder than others to protect themselves from racism. The second part of this article reveals that the maintenance of a left-wing political orientation among these respondents is largely explained by the “shock” caused by minority experiences at key stages of their trajectories, in school, university, and professional contexts. These shocking experiences lead them to conflictualize their minority status and their self-identification, where class and neighborhood affiliation intersect with race and migration heritage. |
