| Résumé: | Based on an ethnographic survey conducted in a vocational school, in SAPAT, a field of study where most students are girls and predominantly recruited from the working class, this article focuses on technical, technological and professional knowledge transmitted and appropriated by teachers and students. We show that the SAPAT vocational training programme aims to communicate a technical culture. This technical culture seeks to move from lay knowledge to technical knowledge, body and machine techniques, the knowledge of relationships, and developing a professional ethos in confrontation at work. |
