| Sumari: | The History of Management Thought (HPMT) has a long tradition in the United States, but until recently it has remained underdeveloped in France. Efforts to change this state of affairs are beginning to bear fruit, and this special issue is, we hope, a good illustration of this. The nine papers that follow this introduction provide a sample of what may be possible, without of course exhausting the subject, either in terms of the type of problem to be addressed or in terms of the empirical ground to be cleared or explored in greater depth. The paper concludes with suggestions for future research. |
