| Résumé: | To understand how consumers with disabilities can contribute to co-design initiatives, a clearer picture is needed of their knowledge and the kind of expertise that comes from their lived experiences. In this qualitative research study conducted at the APF France handicap TechLab, we describe the characteristics of the knowledge that they can mobilize in co-design situations. Our results enable us to distinguish four dimensions in the knowledge mobilized bodily and sensory knowledge, cognitive knowledge, contextual knowledge, and emotional knowledge. This knowledge is multidimensional, transferable, and focused on primary needs. |
