Résumé:The objective of this literature review on mergers and acquisitions is to analyze the causes and consequences of the current distancing of studies on pre-merger and post-merger phases. The article investigates the theoretical and managerial potential of questioning the dominant paradigm, which tends to disconnect the challenges of the upstream and downstream of the process. The study proposes a research agenda aimed at overcoming several implicit assumptions that limit our understanding of these operations.
