In an exercise combining critical synthesis and narrative review, based on four metaphors of place (coordinates, container, construction, and constellation) found in the Management and Organizational Studies literature, we develop four descriptive principles of place (location, delimitation, uniqueness, interrelation) and identify four roles it can play, leading to a more reflexive and humanizing analysis of managerial practices.En quoi le concept de lieu permet-il d’appréhender spécifiquement la spatialisation du travail et des organisations et ses implications managériales ? Dans un exercice de synthèse critique et de revue narrative, à partir de la découverte de quatre métaphores du lieu (coordonnées, container, construction et constellation) dans la litérature en management et études organisationnelles, les auteurs élaborent quatre principes descriptifs « lieuitaires » (localisation, délimitation, unicité, interrelation) et identifient quatre rôles du lieu pour une lecture plus réflexive et réhumanisante des pratiques managériales.Cairn restricted access
