| Sumari: | How does the concept of place allow researchers to specifically address the spatialization of work and organizations and its managerial implications? In an exercise combining critical synthesis and narrative review, based on four metaphors of place (coordinates, container, construction, and constellation) found in the Management and Organizational Studies literature, we develop four descriptive principles of place (location, delimitation, uniqueness, interrelation) and identify four roles it can play, leading to a more reflexive and humanizing analysis of managerial practices. |
