סיכום:This section highlights the major transformations currently reshaping research subjects in North-American Studies. The poststructuralist and postcolonial revolutions have expanded corpora and legitimized previously neglected sources, especially those produced by historically marginalized groups. This movement continues in response to technological, media, and social upheavals, which invite the exploration of new objects, such as literature that is now multi-media, at the crossroads of page, screen, and performance. The contributors also question the scholar’s stance, challenging claims to objectivity and academic detachment in favor of a commitment that is both political and pedagogical. Against a backdrop of multifaceted crisis—political, social, ecological, cultural—their reflections reveal a demanding dynamism, one that is anxious yet hopeful. Monica Michlin and Guillaume Marche trace their intellectual journeys in light of these changes, while Jacob Maillet and Julie Vatain respectively explore the Anthropocene and theater as sites of resistance. Through several generations of researchers, the RFEA thus affirms its mission to engage with the contemporary world in all its complexity, fully embracing the social and political responsibility of the humanities.
