Résumé:The regional psychotrauma centres (RPCs), created following the 19 June 2018 directive, are aimed at all victims of traumatic events, including migrant people. Although migrant psychotrauma is now recognised as a public problem in its own right that needs to be taken into account by government services and health institutions, this article analyses the difficulties involved in the provision of care for migrants in regional psychotrauma centres. The author shows that, while care of this demographic has become less controversial in theory, there remain practical complexities for healthcare professionals, in a context of overcrowding of psychiatric facilities. This article shows that this group, in reality, is only marginally accepted in RPCs: the therapies offered appear to be poorly adapted to people in precarious social situations. While attempts are being made to remedy the situation, offering a differentiated clinical response for migrants, these are not without their challenges: the aim here is to highlight the rationale behind them, but also their limitations.
