Özet:In Reunion Island, voluntary associations now play an essential role in taking care of minors and those accompanying them who have been evacuated from Mayotte to a medical facility. This vulnerable group, where the majority of children have parents of foreign origin who are not affiliated with the social security system, has to cope with numerous difficulties such as language barriers and cultural boundaries. Various associations intervene to help and support this population, in different areas and at different times in the lives of the children and their families. These voluntary associations, which have to adapt to a new population and work alongside the institutional framework within the EVASAN (medical evacuation) system, play a central role in the chain of care for children and their families.
