| Gaia: | In many ways, staying at a parent’s/relative or friend’s house became an alternative solution addressing the difficulties generated by the housing crisis. By activating private solidarities, this practice is one of the last protections against exclusion and homelessness. Written in the course of a research project conducted in 2010 for the Plan Urbanisme Construction Architecture (PUCA), this article aims at analysing the characteristic of such a phenomenon in the territory of Seine-Saint-Denis. The article presents a typology of the different kinds of situations this phenomenon represents and analysis the way public policies addresses this issue. |
