Résumé:Since 1964 the strategic air forces have adapted their posture to suit the changing threats. Reactivity of assets and flexibility in their use are at the heart of operations and set the size of the Air and Space Force. Maintaining the credibility of the airborne nuclear component relies upon constant adaptation of tactics and equipment, resilience under all conditions and regular operational activity that is representative of high-intensity warfare.
