| Samenvatting: | Operation Chammal has since 2014 been the embodiment of the French long-term commitment to anti-terrorism, in which the Air and Space Force plays an essential role. It focuses on the Levant and combines air strikes, support to local forces and international cooperation. Through its contribution to regional stability it also guarantees access to the key points that are so vital to French strategic influence and freedom of action in the region. With the possible US withdrawal from the region, we will need to continue to adapt. |
