From the reproduction of his works in avant-garde magazines in 1937 to his one man exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 1975, as well as his inclusion in prestigious American collections, Hartung succeeded in weaving a solid network of acquaintances in the service of the transatlantic diffusion of his work.Cairn free access
