Résumé:Like most economic sectors, publishing was profoundly affected by the war that began on 3 August 1914. The mobilization of authors and the disorganization of the production chain were factors that disrupted the publishing landscape. The impact of the war on society as a whole had a profound effect on the world of books. The war entered print very quickly and only began to leave it after 1916, when a certain wear and tear set in. In this sense, publishing adapted to the changing expectations of readers.
