Description
Résumé:Based on a qualitative and quantitative survey conducted among start-up founders, this article aims to demystify the figure of the innovative entrepreneur 2.0, often portrayed as a visionary hero capable of changing the world. First, fieldwork highlights the extremely high level of institutional support provided to innovative companies and their founders, who benefit from economic, institutional, and legal support from State and public authorities to help them set up their businesses. The analysis of their socio-economic characteristics and trajectories also reveals that creating a start-up and achieving success requires a high level of economic, cultural, and social capital. Therefore, access to this entrepreneurial world remains the prerogative of young, well-educated, and well-employed men, who rely on salaried employment to secure their professional transition.
