Sumario:Globalisation is bringing increasing numbers of patients who speak a foreign language to the couch of analysts who do not share their mother tongue. Experts agree that learning the language of the host country is a cornerstone of a migrant’s integration. In order to gain a better understanding of the psychological reasons for learning a language or rejecting it, the author examines the relationship between languages and the psychological device.
