| Summary: | P. Fedida said that « psychoanalysis was in essence an experience of absence (... better than...) everything we call psyche is woven by absence ». The famous observation by S. Freud of his grandson Ernst in his no less famous « reel game » will serve as a support here to illustrate the princeps and precocious stake of « the work of absence ». A work of absence supporting the deployment of the psyche in the very process of the « work of playing » stretched between body and psyche, and between oneself and the psychic other, in the dialectical articulation of modes and figures from presence to modes and figures of absence. In the early appropriation of this presence / absence dialectic, a central process of symbolization / subjectivation opens and unfolds, freeing the work of absence from the abyss of loss and emptiness and opening up to a psychic paradigm that defines our subjective depth, and the subsequent psychopathological singularity of our lifelong separation, mourning and absence processes. |
