| Sammanfattning: | Since the early 1980s, structural adjustment plans imposed on African countries have forced public organizations to adopt a culture of budgetary rigor, results, and performance. Faced with these demands, these organizations must imperatively change their operating paradigm and undertake profound changes. Public entrepreneurship, as defined by Roberts (1992), then becomes a necessity. It is about fostering and implementing innovations, particularly social ones, to meet the specific needs of populations and improve the performance of public services. Our article examines the role of social innovations in the decentralization process in Cameroon. In the context of decentralization in Cameroon, social innovations can play a crucial role. Indeed, the proximity between public decision-makers and users is a key factor in the satisfaction. Our research emphasizes the need to put in place mechanisms to integrate community leaders into public governance structures. To achieve this proximity, the use of ICTs can help foster interaction and create direct dialogue with citizens. |
