Riassunto:This study examines the work-life balance of surgical medical technical assistants at the Centre Hospitalier de Luxembourg through an analysis of nine semi-structured individual interviews. The results highlight individual, organizational, and contextual factors influencing this balance. Social support, children's age, mental load, and schedule management are key individual elements, while working hours, hierarchical support, communication, and human resource management play a crucial role at the organizational level. Specific working conditions within the operating room, such as emergency management and traffic conditions, are important contextual factors that can lead to a work-life imbalance.
