الملخص:This paper aims to describe the decision-making and value creation process of a social entrepreneur who works on organic food and short supply chains. First of all, we make a quick review on economic and social value models to show that even that they might be convergent, they have not been integrated on a global model that allows us to perceive and give an account of the project complexity. In the second part we describe the case we have studied, introducing the third and last part with our discussion on how value for local development is created. We have observed, through an action research methodology that stakeholders get involved into the project because of the coherence of its global value (economic, social and ethical dimensions). We argue that the only way to make a project become a social enterprise is to make sense of a viable economic model with local impact and strong ethical values.
