| Riassunto: | It is appropriate to clarify the meaning of the word « democracy » as it is semantically overloaded. The author of this essay includes the word « democracy » in a triad he creates : « democtisy-democracy-democrisy ». This triad represents three concepts which are distinct but linked because they relate to one phenomenon which he calls « demoticy », that is to say the people’s effort to conceive a project of society, to implement and evaluate it. He studies « demoticy » both from the qualitative and quantitative point of view and undertakes to demonstrate that the model he proposes according to his triad makes it possible to account for a number of situations and up to a certain point to measure the degree of « demoticity » of a country or community. |
