Resumo:Two texts, one by A. Thiam, « La parole aux négresses » (Black Women Speak), and one by Calixthe Beyala « Lettre d’une Africaine à ses sœurs occidentales » (Letter from an African woman to her sisters from the West) throw light upon the African feminist discourse. Though there is a seventeen year span between them, and in spite of points of divergence, they have in common issues such as excision, infibulation and polygamy.
