| Shrnutí: | This article aims to examine the movement of totalitarianism in light of the conditions for assuming individual responsibility, which we argue it seeks to destroy. On the basis of the different stages of totalitarian domination proposed in Hannah Arendt’s analysis–the destruction of the juridical person, the dissolution of moral consciousness, the neutralization of the conditions for free action–we try to show in what sense these stages aim to abolish the imputability of acts to the agent–and thus of their individual responsibility as a free agent–which is the true purpose of the totalitarian process. |
