| Résumé: | This paper explores the origin of a lexical creation, amorabunda, attributed to Laberius and quoted by Gellius in one of the many discussions that he relates. Although Laberius is known for his inventiveness when it comes to words, this paper defends the idea that in this specific case, he may have made amorabunda from an expression of the Phormio. This raises questions about the utilization of Terence within the mime tradition and the crowd’s capacity to recognize such a citation. |
