| Summary: | On January 12, 2023, a symposium brought together some fifteen researchers, scientists, and artists in the amphitheater of the grande galerie de l’Évolution (MNHN) around a theme that increasingly attracts public attention and has been part of the particularly lively field of relations between the arts and ecology in recent decades. The symposium planned to address two questions. The first questioned the relevance of maintaining the disciplinary dissociations inherited from the Moderns in a world subject to collapse, and wondered whether the increasingly important place given to art in ecological debates was an indication that the limits of this great sharing had been reached. The second question concerned the originality of the ‘oceanic object’ to consider and address these damaged worlds. |
