| Résumé: | This article is devoted to a problem that has recently been at the center of debates on Antonio Negri’s thought: the oscillation between “vitalism” and “historicism” that characterizes his definition of the “constituent power” of the multitude. I propose to refute one of the main philosophical objections he has received: the accusation of “vitalism”. I argue instead that one of the areas of reflection left open by Negri concerns the question of the articulation between multiplicity and unity, proliferation and composition of temporalities, subjects and practices of the “constituent power” of the multitude. |
