| Samenvatting: | The “grin,” a typical Malian discussion space, functions as a third place that facilitates interactions between customers and service providers in informal auto repair garages in Bamako. This study, conducted with 35 participants (mechanics, electricians, panel beaters, clients, and “grin” members), analyzes its role in relational satisfaction. The findings, based on thematic analysis, show that the “grin” strengthens trust and customer loyalty within the informal automotive service sector.
