| סיכום: | Long lines outside food banks, a housing crisis, eco-anxiety, and loneliness… Europe’s youth are facing a host of challenges. What has been achieved by the European Commission and Parliament in recent years? To answer this question, Mouvements met the representative of the European Youth Forum, an advocacy NGO set up by national youth councils and international non-governmental youth organizations to represent the interests of young people throughout Europe. In this interview, conducted ahead of the 2024 European elections, María Rodríguez Alcázar points out that, while symbolic and financial efforts have been made, the European Union is still reluctant to advance youth rights through binding legislation, and that the difficulties are only getting worse. |
