| Sumario: | Reporters Without Borders and World Media Network led an international solidarity campaign on the occasion of the first commemoration of the genocide against the Tutsi. In collaboration with Kinyamateka, they published in forty international newspapers a facsimile of an edition of the Catholic newspaper. “Operation Kinyamateka” allows us to understand the state of the Rwandan press one year after the genocide and the perception that the international media have of the genocide. It reveals an international press campaign hostile to the new Rwandan government, a decisive moment that initiates certain lasting divisions within French circles specializing in Rwanda. |
