סיכום:The oases of the Drâa-Tafilalet region in Morocco, which cover nearly 88 % of the territory, are essential for biodiversity, agriculture, and combating desertification, while also holding great cultural significance. Nevertheless, they face increasing challenges due to climate change and human activities, necessitating urgent intervention to preserve this heritage. The cooperative model presents an effective solution for enhancing agricultural resilience and promoting sustainability. Cooperatives enable the sharing of risks and costs, fostering sustainable agricultural practices and helping farmers better confront environmental and socioeconomic challenges. This study examines the cooperative model as a framework for improving the resilience and sustainable development of date palm cooperatives in the region. Using a mixed-methods approach, it analyzes the characteristics of the cooperative model and its potential to address the challenges faced by date palm cooperatives. The interviews assess the benefits and limitations of this model. The results show a notable improvement in resilience through resource optimization and the adoption of modern technologies, though challenges remain, particularly in governance. The study also evaluates the impact of public policies and development partners on the viability of cooperatives and proposes recommendations to enhance their effectiveness. The recommendations emphasize the importance of strengthening the governance structures of cooperatives to ensure sustainable resilience. JEL Codes: Q13, Q56, O13, O3
